I had some trouble finding a procedure for how to do a screen capture on my phone.
I have a Galaxy Mini running Froyo 2.2.2.
I found various descriptions of pressing the power button and then the back or home or whatever, but none of these seemed to work for me.
I knew I was able to do it because I would do it by accident now and then. I had dozens of images of my locked screen in the folder called "ScreenCapture"
So after lots of trial and error what I finally worked out was the following:
- Make sure you have an SD card installed and that there's room on it (Duh!)
- Press and hold the back button
- Then about half a second later, press the home button while still holding the back button
- Wait for the phone to make a camera shutter sound (or vibrate if in silent mode)
- Release both buttons
- A message should be displayed briefly saying, "Screen Captured. Saved as image file"
- Go look in MyFiles under ScreenCapture
I had a little trouble sometimes because the buttons are fairly close together. I found it more reliable to use my two index fingers instead of trying to do it all with one hand.
thank u!
